Welcome to Smith Miner

Ronald L. DeBolt, 81, of Sanford, passed away on January 2, 2020 at MidMichigan Medical Center.  He was born on December 26, 1938 to the late Lester and Winnifred (Renner) DeBolt.  On August 6, 1977 he married Lois May Alexander and they shared 42 wonderful years together.  He was in the first graduating class from Midland High 1957.


Ronald served his country honorably in the United States Air Force.  He worked for Dow Chemical Company as a pipefitter retiring in 1995.  He enjoyed golfing, RV traveling, but most of all he loved his family and spending time with them. 


Ronald is survived by his children, Michele (Jim) Card, Eric (Kariann) DeBolt, step children, Dan (Kelly Marsh) Taylor, Sam (Jill) Taylor, grandchildren, Brittany (Christopher) Easton, Andrew Card, Rochelle (Chris) Leonard, Eric DeBolt II, Isabella DeBolt, step grandchildren, Kalie Taylor, Amanda (Kerolos) Rizk, Brianna (Andrew) Kinzie, step great grandchild Noah Rizk and nephew Scott DeBolt.


Ronald was predeceased by his brother, George DeBolt, and nephews Michael DeBolt and Mark DeBolt.


A Memorial Visitation will be held on January 9, 2020 at Smith-Miner Funeral Home from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
