Rose Marie Plummer, 99,formerly of Sparta, Michigan, died on Nov. 7, 2011 at Stratford Village in Midland. She was born on August 8, 1912 in Grand Rapids, daughter of Bernice and Bert Nawrot. On Nov. 25, 1929 she married George Plummer of Barryton, Mich. He predeceased her on March 9, 1984. She was an excellent cook and baker, known for her pork roasts and apple pies. In her early years she loved gardening, playing cards and reading. Rose was preceded in death by her son Eugene, her sisters Dorothy, Leona, Clara and her brother Johnny. Surviving Rose are her sons, Ronald (Romona) of Adrian, MI, Dean (Barbara) of Midland; grandchildren, Erin (Wayne) Chatterton of Linwood, Brant (Lisa) Plummer of White Lake, MI, Lisa (Kevin) Lynn of Arizona, Eugene Plummer Jr. of Fairbanks, Alaska, and daughter-in-law Joanne Plummer. She leaves 9 great grandchildren as well. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011at Blessed Sacrament Church, Midland, Michigan, with Father Eddie C. Dwyer officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
