Shirley Ann Tracy, 78, of Midland, died peacefully at home with her loving husband Duane by her side on Sept. 5, 2012. Shirley was born on June 23, 1934 in Midland to the late Orie and Velma (Tripp) Church. On Aug. 29, 1953 Shirley married her sweetheart Duane Tracy in Midland. Shirley was a great artist and loved painting. She also loved quilting, flowers, gardening, making her own soap and candles. Shirley was a women of many talents including sewing her daughters’ wedding dresses and making their wedding cakes. She made all her children feel special and loved her grandchildren unconditionally. Shirley is survived by her husband Duane; children Brenda (Michael) Shook; Mary (Darin) McHenry; Duane Philip (Mona) Tracy; Laurie (Rick) Finch; Mark (Terri) Tracy; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister Vivian Melton and her brother Gerald Church. Shirley was predeceased by her grand children John and Erin. A Funeral Service will be held at the Midland Missionary Church, 479 S. 11 Mile Rd., on Friday, Sept. 7 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly, on Thursday, Sept. 6 from 4 until 7 pm and on Friday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
