Welcome to Smith Miner

Shirley Evelyn Vinson, 79, of Saginaw passed away on August 3, 2021 at Stonecrest Living.  She was born on June 12, 1942 to the late Howard and Evelyn (Wendt) Kuhn.  She married Delmer Donahue on May 21, 1960 and they shared 59 wonderful years together before he predeceased her on August 3, 2019.  On May 10, 1980 she married Norman Vinson who predeceased her on December 4, 1997 after 17 years of marriage.


Shirley enjoyed camping, traveling, plants and gardening.  She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.


Shirley is survived by her children Evelyn Dell, Brenda (Brian) Norris, LaDonna (Robert) Chapman, Karen Funk, Step children Elizabeth Mussleman, Beverly Warner, Norman (Lynnie) Vinson, Jr. 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother Robert (Janet) Kuhn.  Shirley was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Donahue, grandson Brandon Norris and step daughter Jackie Wood.


A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Smith-Miner Funeral Home.  Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at New Hope Cemetery.

    I called this woman my mom she’ll be dearly missed couldn’t make it to the funeral but I did help set up for the dinner and mama knows I was there in spirit I love you Mom fly high

    We part of the veitengruber family want to say we loved her all of or life and her and my mom was sisters and were one was we fond two but they took good care of us we love going the for the weekend had lots of fun if they just new what we all did we would get ore ass beet but all of as kids didn’t say nothing so I no they Wellfleet up there and look down and think we are there angels lol love you all from the veitengruber
