SHIRLEY S. WENGER Shirley S. Wenger, 94, of Midland, went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2015 at Stratford Village. Shirley was born on November 20, 1920, in Port Huron, Michigan to the late Fred J. and Edith I. (Hawker) Scupholm. On February 11, 1943 she married Clifton E. Wenger who preceded her in death. Shirley was graduated from Port Huron High school in 1938. She went on to attend Port Huron Jr. College in 1940 and Michigan State University in 1942 and was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She received her Bachelor?ÇÖs Degree in English and Minored in Art & French. Shirley worked briefly at McTaggert?ÇÖs Department Store in Port Huron. She worked for the Michigan Department of Health as Assistant to the Commercial Artist prior to her marriage and worked as a secretary at the Industrial Heating Equipment Company. In 1943, she married Clifton E. Wenger. Shirley was active in the church group at Washington Woods. She enjoyed drawing, sewing and photography.Shirley is survived by her daughter Kristi Wenger.In Lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Calvary Baptist Church.
