Stanley "Stan" John Keller of Midland passed away peacefully, with his wife by his side, on June 2,
2017, following a brief illness. He was born on January 24,1963, to Jerome and Ann Keller of
Camillus, New York.
Stan began his military career in 1986, and was an Aerographer’s Mate for the US Navy. He received
many awards and medals to include the Joint Service Commendation, Navy & Marine Corp
Commendation Medal, Navy & Marine Corp Achievement Medal (4), Meritorious Unit
Commendation, Good Conduct Medal (6), Navy Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Medal (2),
Armed Forces. He married Laura Stittsworth in 1988. He retired as a Chief Weather Forecaster in
2006. Upon retiring from the military, he became a self-employed painting contractor and moved to
the Midland area. Stan was an avid golfer and loved going antiquing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Laura and his son Christopher Keller, his parents Jerry
and Peggy Keller of Camillus, New York, his sister Laura (Richard) Williams of New Windsor, his mother in law Grace Stittsworth
Maryland his brother’s in-law Jim Welch of Merrill, Michigan & Ron (Amy) White of Farwell,
Michigan. Seven nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Jean Welch and his
A funeral mass will be held at Assumption Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., with Fr. Joe Griffin officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
