Welcome to Smith Miner

(February 14, 1969 – November 1, 2104)

Terri (Potzger)MaynardOf Midland, born on Valentine?ÇÖs Day 1969 to the late Eugene and Joyce (Meyer) Potzger has passed away suddenly at her home November 1, 2014. God had almost called her home twice before but gave her two lifesaving liver transplants one in 1991 and another in 2006, blessing her family and friends with 23 more precious years. She was an active volunteer in The Gift of Life sharing her story, showing her life scars and explaining the importance of organ donation. Always physically active when able, she enjoyed and excelled in many sports especially softball and running marathons. She spent time exploring the Great Lake state and all its lighthouses with hopes to visit them all. She loved camping, music, drives in the countryside and a good bonfire on a cool night. Always by her side were the loves of her life, her ever faithful critters, Morgan the dog and Cooper the cat. Terri had walked steadfast and true accepting the path God had laid out for her, but could not stay one more day when he came to take her hand showing her to her new life, a beautiful place without medicine, needles, tubes and pain. She ran with long strides to the other side, where if there is an angelic softball game going on, she?ÇÖs got first base well covered. To the families that lost their love ones and donated the organs she needed to live?Ǫthank you, thank you. Terri was able to pay it forward, giving back as a donor herself. A future private memorial service of close family and friends will take place. For those wishing to honor Terri and her life please become an organ donor; celebrate with the ones you love, cherish each moment and live. On line condolences can be given at smithminer.com
