Virgil E. Kindy, 86, of Midland, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 7, 2010, surrounded by family at Rhoda’s House. Virgil was born on April 18, 1924, in Midland to the late Mabel (Kauffman) and Leonard E. Kindy. Then on April 3, 1954 he married his sweetheart Vera Neuhauser in Pigeon, Michigan. Virgil owned and operated Kindy Heating and Kindy Tree Service. He also was a farmer. He was an active member of the Midland Menonite Church. He enjoyed gardening and sharing the produce with his friends. He loved working outdoors and hunting. He is survived by his wife Vera; daughters, Carol Wallace, Rose Vasquez, Melody Carlock; sons, James, Jerry, Kevin; 22 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Leidig, Esther Rupright, Irene Gage; brothers, Erie, Orie and David. He was predeceased by his daughter Joyce; sister, Olive Leidig and brother Oscar. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Midland Menonite Church with Pastor Don Duford officiating. A burial will follow at the Poseyville Cemetery. The Family will receive friends at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly, on Friday, July 9 from 4 to 7 pm. and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
