Virginia Ellen (McEvoy) Korkoske, 92, of Midland, was released into the arms of her Lord, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Plainview Assisted Living in Auburn, Michigan. Virginia was born on July 18, 1923 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Henry and Ellen (Sasse) McEvoy. She was a loving mom, grandma and great grandma. Her greatest joy in life was her family, which she always put first. Virginia is survived by her daughter Diane (Thomas) Leigeb of Auburn; sons Rodney Korkoske and William Korkoske of Oregon and Thomas Korkoske of South Carolina; grandchildren Michael Korkoske, Shelley (Gray) Page, Gregory Korkoske, Jared (Rachel) Leigeb, Destiney Korkoske, Megan (Josh) Shinkel, Sara (Doug) Mulder, Adam Korkoske, Robert Korkoske Jr., and Cal Korkoske; great-grandchildren Julia, Caleb, Rachel, Renee, Jonathan, Curtis, Serenety, Stella, Bennett, Virginia, and Gemma; and siblings Charlotte Halasinski, and Henry (Rosemary) McEvoy.In addition to her parents, Virginia was predeceased by her brothers James McEvoy and John McEvoy, twin daughters Margaret Korkoske & Mary Korkoske, and sons Robert Korkoske and Gregory Korkoske. Virginia?ÇÖs family would like to thank the staff of Plainview Assisted Living for the loving, exceptional care given to their mom, grandma, and great grandma. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested for Plainview Assisted Living in Auburn.Funeral services for Virginia will be held on Thursday, June 23rd at Smith-Miner Funeral Home in Midland.
