Wilhelmina “Willy” R. Dockham, 91, died on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Brookdale Senior Living of Midland. Willy was born on June 25, 1923 in Midland to the late Frank and Rose (Lepeak) Solosky. On June 19, 1951 Willy was married to Charles B. Dockham who preceded her in death on March 4, 1995.Early in her career, Willy worked for Alden B. Dow and Associates. She retired from Dow, US Area Treasury, after many years of service. She was a member of St. Brigids Catholic Church. Willy was an avid reader, enjoyed walking at the mall, was a serious football fan and loved traveling, especially to Caseville. Willy enjoyed meeting people in the community and always took time to visit with them.Willy is survived by her children; Donald Dockham, Janet (Rod) Draves and Laura Dockham, grandchildren; Hilary Ish, Matthew Brown and great granddaughter; Emerson Rose and many nieces and nephews. Willy was predeceased by her sisters and brother-in-laws; Mary (Clarence) Lince and Theresa (Thomas) Ward, brothers and sister- in-law; Lawrence (Angeline) and Joseph Solosky .A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 22 , 2014 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church with Fr. Joe Griffin officiating. Friends can visit with the family on Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 2-5 pm at Smith-Miner Funeral Home and on Monday at the church from 10am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Old Calvary Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at St Brigid of Kildare.In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Salvation Army or Saginaw Rescue Mission.On line condolences can be given at smithminer.com
